Two of our MJHS Odyssey
of the Mind teams are headed for World Finals in Boulder Colorado May 21-24.
The two teams are the Crazy Columns team who had to build a balsa wood
structure designed to hold as much weight as possible and the Get the
Message team which had to use 3 different forms of communication to tell the
same story. Teams also had to compete in the spontaneous portion where they
had no advance knowledge of the problem to be solved and were allowed only a
few minutes figure it out and to accrue as many points as possible. Both
teams came in second in their division at the State Meet on April 2nd at
Bates College and are now fundraising to pay for their trip to World Finals.
