A team handball tournament was held at Massabesic Junior High, beginning after school on March 22 and concluding after school on March 29.

Students made up their own teams and each paid a $3 entry fee. The fees totalled $260 and this money was donated to the American Heart

Association. Eleven teams entered the double elimination tournament.

Teams that participated included Madness, Hot Shots, Dream Team, Hot Chicks, Pink Monkeys, T-Punishment, The Unworldly Beings, and Stud Muffins. On the final day the teams that battled out to conclude the tournament were the Average Joes in third place (Tom Stanley, Mr.Andriski, Jim Thyng, Dakota Gagne, Nick Rogers, Corey Sanford, Zack Mansfield, Madison Moody, Elliot Schultz, Anthony Galluze, and Shane Pouliot), the Bushwackers in second place (Tim Stitson, Robert Barstow, Tom Duggan, Mrs. Lands, Mr. Bush, Emily Lodge, Kurt Craver, Bob Hubscher, Mr. McDonough, Mr. Grantham till he broke his ankle, and Mr. Ouellette), and the championship team, the Mustangs (Nolan Rollins, Wes Labbe, Connor O'Neill, Patrick McCarthy, David Strandburg, Anthony Woodsome, Brandon Melanson, Robert Cookson, Mr. Carbone, Spencer Cass, and Mr. Allaire).
